I took a trip to the London Transit Museum Depot which is open to the public two weekends a year and just happened to be open when I was in London! I absolutely loved this place, and I learned all about the development of the London Underground (by a shady Chicagoan!) and the Roundel design (since that was the theme this year).
Ok, I know I’m skipping around a bit.. so to start off.. I’m in London! And also my lovely friend Shawn has joined me and we’re doing absolutely everything. The real focus of this post is how we spent our first Monday together, which was doing a Warner Brothers studio tour of the sets of HARRY POTTER. I can’t even tell you how much fun I had at this place.. but I’m gonna try.
Ok, I hate that I will probably not do this trip justice. I have about 4,000 pictures and I’m literally getting blogged out today. I was so far behind though that this is entirely my own fault. Anyways, here goes. Welcome to Greece.
I’m gonna make this another combined post since I’m WAY behind, but I did get to go to the Kelvingrove Museum and walk around the Botanic Gardens and along the river before my family got there, and Daniel took me on a walking tour of the city on my penultimate day in Scotland. My last day was one last museum visit.. and a haircut. Then it was on to the MegaBus to London (but only to catch a plane to Greece…)
This is gonna be one heck of a long post because I think I did just about everything there is to do in Scotland in the last couple weeks I was there and so I was busy doing those things and not writing about those things, so I’ve got a lot of ground to cover here. Bear with me.
…or: How “If you’re around now there’s a couple of us going to rumshack for dinner” turned into a weekend road trip to the other side of the island.
So I’m pretty behind, and I should have posted this last week, but alas. I blame all the naps that I need to take here.. they keep me pretty busy. No matter, look at this place!
I cut it pretty close getting here, but I’m already in love.
Montreal was a blast, and I decided to get a few last minute hits in before I left. Never did make it to that Six Flags though.. maybe next time..
So I took a quick (surprise) trip to Connecticut for my awesome cousin Sarah’s 36th birthday extravaganza at my aunt’s house, and what an adventure it was..
